Restorative Yoga for Better Sleep

Restorative yoga is about slowing down and giving the body a chance to rest.
With the use of bolsters, blankets and props the body is fully supported in these longer held poses allowing mental and physical relaxation. When we allow the body to rest for an extended amount of time the parasympathetic nervous system is stimulated which promotes a relaxation response and reduces stress.  These classes will be gentle and slow paced with the majority of poses being supine.  The main aim is on relaxation and the classes are suitable for all.
