Saturday Pilates

Carolyn is a yoga and Pilates teacher and she’s also a Chartered Physiotherapist (MCSP) working in private practice. She loves teaching and looks forward to seeing you at her classes soon. Pilates helps strengthen the deep core muscles and stabiliser muscles of the body to improve our posture and strength. The principles of Pilates include concentration, connecting the exercise to the breath, core connection and awareness of body alignment. Pilates exercises usually involve high repetitions, often using our own body weight to build strength and also standing weight bearing exercises to improve our balance. It is very beneficial in building a stronger core, which can help with back pain.
